Mobile Phone Extended Warranty

Extended warranty: By law in the UK, your mobile phone is covered by a manufacturer warranty for the first 12 months after purchase. If on day number 366 after purchasing your phone ... it dies for no particular reason (e.g. the screen just stops showing anything) ... you have to pay to have it repaired.

That is why some (not all) mobile phone insurance policies offer an extended warranty, for as long as you hold that insurance. That means that should anything go wrong with your phone, the repair work is covered by your mobile phone insurance policy and its extended warranty.
