Mobile Phone Accidental Damage
Accidental Damage: Accidental damage to mobile phones is not covered by many insurance policies.
If you drop your mobile phone accidentally, and the screen is shattered,
it is not covered by the manufacturers warranty. The warranty will
only cover you for breakdown i.e. things going wrong for no particular
reason, such as the screen just 'going dead' and stopping working.
Not accidental damage.
So you need to make sure that your mobile is covered for accidental
damage especially if you are one of the 1000's of people who do not
carry their mobile phone around in a leather case to protect it. One
accidental tumble from your pocket or bag, down to the ground can
be enough to shatter the LCD display screen.
It is a good idea to use a leather case if you can, as they do offer
a certain level of protection against clumsy accidents. They may make
the mobile phone a little bulky, particularly if you always put your
phone in your pocket, but you can get slim line cases that do not
have the bulky clip on the back.
Even with or without a leather case, your mobile phone will undergo
a certain amount of knocks in the course of every day use. It happens,
its life. But you don't need to have to pay for it when it happens.
With the right mobile phone insurance you can be covered for accidental
damage.
